About Saint Louis Ophthalmological Society

Founded in 1907, the St. Louis Ophthalmological Society held its first meeting on February 13, 1907. Twenty of the twenty five members were present. On March 13, 1907, the first invited speaker was Dr. H.P. Wells, and his subject was "Localization of Foreign Bodies in the Eye by Modified Sweet Method"

the Saint Louis Ophthalmological Society is based on organized meetings inviting Ophthalmologists to speak on a topic to continue the education for our members. They are invited by Saint Louis University and Washington University.
